In order to determine the factors associated with complications during hemodialysis in adults with chronic kidney disease, a descriptive, cross sectional, and correlational study was developed. A sociodemographic, clinical, and laboratory questionnaire and a checklist containing the defining characteristics of hemodialytic complications (content validity 0.95 and reliability 0.96) were applied to 96 nephrological adults attended at the Hemodialysis Unit of EsSalud-Loreto. The information was processed using SPSS version 26.0. The results showed that the most frequent hemodialytic complications were headache (61.5%), hypertension (59.4%), cramps (32.2%), hypotension (18.3%), and nausea and vomiting (14.6%).
