This work focuses on understanding one of the most important mountains surrounding the valley of Cusco , in pre-Hispanic times it was a tutelary Apu very important, and that its name was changed according to the situations of social actors of those times , whose validity still remains . It is given different names like Apian , aspire and Yauira , again aspire , again Apian and Yauirac from 1571-1653 recorded by chroniclers of those times. Then with the removal of idolaters is assigned the name of Simon who was quechuizado to Quimon and finally the Mama Simona and converted into a female mountain spirit. Whose importance is explained by the role it plays in the ancestral memory and its claim as such in our times.

For the people of the Andes, the Apus reverence and sacred mountains, converted into local protectors, did not go unnoticed at the time, so, as the Salkantay mountains, including the surrounding ones, assume an important role into the Andean worldview. For example the Waqay Willke snowy peak (5720 m), within the traditional Andean symbolism of dualistic thinking, is considered the complement of Salkantay, that is one of the most powerful and active deities of the place, and it is appreciated by the people, the father of all the mountains in the region and even nowadays is held in great veneration, so Machupicchu and Choquechurco holds an intimate visual contact with the Salkantay and other snowy peaks of the Vilcabamba chain.

The Physicochemical and multielemental analyzes, carried out on ceramic surface fragments from Markaconga, located in the province of Acomayo in Cusco, aimed to determine the relationship and interrelation in the chemical composition of ceramic pastes, pigments and slips present in its decorations, in order to identify moments of manufacture and/or chromatic, symbolic and semiotic transfer, present in these fragments. The same one that allows us to build a preliminary interpretation of the degree of influence and relationships from early societies of the North basin of Lake Titicaca, which had very identifiable stylistic and artistic patterns in their pottery.
