At present an environmental problem are refractory organic compounds such as dyes, which interfere with photosynthetic processes carried out by organisms in water bodies. Contaminants present in wastewater from industries such as textiles, paper, and pharmaceutical tannery among others, whose processes generate large volumes. The objective of this research was to remove dyes synthetic effluent textile, applying advanced technology to which electrocoagulation is used, this research allows to carry out a treatment without reagents, using electrical charges which destabilize the colloidal particles facilitating their precipitation, for which iron electrodes used with 0,8 mm spacing. Estudia la eliminación de color de efluente textil, con grupo reactivo vinil sulfónico que es utilizado en la tintura de algodón y otras fibras celulósicas, el cual es poco biodegradable. Los efluentes están constituidos por impurezas de los textiles, reactivos, compuestos auxiliares y colorantes, presentando las siguientes características: pH 8.93, color 3500 unidades Pt/Co, Demanda Química de Oxígeno (DQO) de 1300 mg/l, Demanda Bioquímica de Oxígeno (DBO) 177 mg/l, turbiedad 137 NTU, entre otros; que interfieren en el paso de la luz solar provocando un desequilibrio en los ecosistemas acuáticos.
