En la presente revisión sistemática se desempeñó un estudio de la literatura científica para la gestión del control de inventarios y su influencia en los costos operativos en una empresa. Para esta investigación, se buscó artículos en las principales bases de datos las cuales fueron: EBSCO Discovery, Google Académico, SciELO y Sciencedirect; además de ello, se tuvo en cuenta que los artículos estén entre los años 2008 y 2019 para que sea información actualizada y no obsoleta, siendo los siguientes con mayor frecuencia 2015 (20%), 2008 (13%), 2013 (13%) y 2017 (13%). Se encontraron 26 artículos, pero fueron rechazados 11 por no cumplir con los criterios mencionados. Asimismo, se tuvo en consideración dos idiomas: el español e inglés.
