Geochemical prospecting has always been and will be one of the most effective tools for the mineral resources exploration, that integrates with the base geological mapping and other disciplines like remote sensing and geophysics. This investigation aim is to promote a new geochemical prospecting methodology, which combines the local relative enrichment index (LREI) from mineralization indicator elements (Cu, Au, Ag, Pb, Zn and Mo), range correlation coefficients (RCC) and Principal Components Analysis (PCA), through fuzzy overlays and unsupervised deep learning, to generate geochemical prospectivity maps in the Chaparra (32o) and Atico (33o) quadrangles in the province of Caraveli, Arequipa. The prospectivity map generated by fuzzy modelling and the self-organizing map (SOM) were validated plotting the location of the known deposits and mineralized occurrences, which in most of the cases...

Cerro Colorado Chico prospect is located to the south of the Ancash region, it is characterized by the presence of brecciated siliceous bodies (POD quartz) with restricted halos of advanced argillic alteration silica-pyrophyllite-alunite and an extensive alteration silic-sericite-pyrite, breccias and bodies of hematite, hematitized horizons affecting volcanic-sedimentary rocks of the Casma Group, and distal quartz veins. For this research have been geological mapping at 1:5000 scale, ASTER image analysis, ICP-AES analysis of 208 rock samples, petrographic, mineragraphic and XRD mineralogical analysis of 14 samples and fluid inclusion analysis of 4 samples. The altered rocks show an enrichment in Au, As, Sr, Ba, V, Fe, Ni and depletion of Cu, Pb, Zn, Al, Ti, Sc, Co and Mn. Petrographic studies show up to three generations of quartz and abundant hematite, sometimes replacing magnetite mold...

Cerro Colorado Chico located in Ancash region, northern coast of Peru. Brecciated siliceous bodies occur with restricted halos of advanced argillic alteration silica-pyrophyllite-alunite and extensive silica-sericite-pyrite alteration, breccias and hematite bodies, hematitized horizons into volcano-sedimentary rocks of the Casma Group. A microthermometry study of fluid inclusions has been carried out in 4 samples with a total of 55 primary and secondary fluid inclusions in quartz. Two stages are distinguished, the first at mesothermal temperatures between 605° and 560° C with salinities of 47.66% to 44.82% NaCl eq., and the second at epithermal temperatures between 329° and 138° C with salinities of 0.7%. to 9.73% NaCl eq., with complex fluids evolution processes as cooling, dilution, mixing and boiling. This study permit to explain the processes that take place in the epithermal env...
