The evolution of pragmatist philosophy within American philosophy is approached in a propaedeutic way in relation to two central questions: the links between pragmatism and religion, and the primacy of democracy over philosophy, from which we seek to explain the shaping of post-secular democracy understood as a reflexive, cooperative and enthusiastic democracy, and also to raise the balance of the democratic experience from the will to believe in the individual and his or her possibilities.

 The dialectical imagination, the poetic imagination and the experimental imagination, are addressed as three types of imagination useful to account for debates and philosophical positions on issues such as "second nature", therapy and poetry in the analytic tradition or the consequences of the empirical turn in more recent times. Once this has been made explicit, dialogues are established with Donald Davidson's approaches to subjective experience and truth, and reference is made to melancholy as an explanatory fold in the subject's relationship with the world.

La presente investigación analiza las características de las acciones y políticas dirigidas a las mujeres, durante la primera etapa del Gobierno Revolucionario de la Fuerza Armada, encabezado por Juan Velasco Alvarado. Se hace una periodización básica definida por elementos transversales, tanto en el discurso oficial, como en la naturaleza de las instituciones estatales promovidas.
