The persistence of educational actions and mechanisms that increase the exclusion of large groups affect not only school failure and dropout, but also impact low social mobility, an increase social conflicts, and the reproduction of inequality. Este trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo de estudio determinar el nivel de resolución de problemas en los estudiantes del IV ciclo de primaria de la I.E.P. Divino Redentor La Joya, Arequipa, la metodología utilizada fue bajo un enfoque cuantitativo con el diseño descriptivo simple, la muestra fue de 30 estudiantes, el instrumento que se empleó fue una prueba educativa, lo cual se midió el nivel de resolución de problemas, cuyo resultado fue que el 50% se encontraron en el nivel proceso, el 37% en el nivel logro y solo el 13% en el nivel inicio.
