La finalidad de la presente investigación fue analizar el estado bucodental y el pH salival de individuos con Diabetes Mellitus (DM), comparándolo con individuos sanos de similar edad y sexo en el Centro de Salud Materno Infantil Bellavista – Callao. El tipo de estudio fue analítico, observacional, casos y controles. Se trabajó con una muestra de 50 personas, con edades entre 20 a 60 años. Procedimos a hacer una inducción sobre el estudio, para obtener el consentimiento informado. Se les indicó que contengan la saliva en la boca por unos minutos y luego, la saliva se iba vertiendo en un embudo de vidrio conectado a una probeta desinfectada y limpia, graduada en 10ml, esta actividad se realizó durante un minuto.
