The objective of the study was to determine the factors of Quechua language loss in the town of Pampachacra, in the district of Huancavelica, Peru. We used the descriptive method, the survey technique, and a structured questionnaire in a population of 45 secondary school students. The results indicate the predominance of the trend factor (54%) for language loss, followed by the migration factor (25%) and the technology factor (21%). In conclusion, we concluded that Quechua language loss is due to the trend factor.
