The main objective of this degree work was: To perform calculations of energy losses in the pipes, accessories and flow meters in the hydraulic bench of the Unitary Operations and Processes laboratory of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of the UNAP for it is operation. The present quantitative research was of a descriptive type, the results were explained in the fluid mechanics equipment, as well as in the accessories (elbows, expansions, orifice plate, flow meters such as the Venturi tube, flowmeter, rotameter, etc.). The equipment, as it is intended for academic purposes, has galvanized steel pipe of different diameters (1/2", 3/4", 1 1/2", 1” and 2”), in which different phenomena can be observed.
