La presente investigación se tituló “Registros médicos electrónicos y procesos de la unidad de recuperación postanestésica de un Hospital Materno de Lima, 2021”. Su propósito fue determinar la relación entre los registros médicos electrónicos y los procesos de la unidad de recuperación postanestésica de un Hospital Materno de Lima, 2021. Para llevarla a cabo se realizó una metodología de tipo básica, cuantitativa, con un diseño no experimental – descriptivo y un nivel correlacional. Contó con una muestra de 50 profesionales de salud que trabajan en la unidad de recuperación postanestésica a los que se les aplicó dos cuestionarios de 8 y 16 ítems con una escala de Likert de cinco puntos, en donde el índice de confiabilidad del cuestionario 1 arrojo una puntuación de Alpha de Cronbach = 0.970 y el cuestionario 2 arrojó una puntuación de Alpha de Cronbach = 0....

Objective: Neuroaxial analgesia is the most effective technique to treat labor pain, however, there are still concerns regarding the undesirable effects. Objective: To evaluate the association between epidural analgesia maintained by programmed intermittent epidural boluses (PEIB) and maternal perinatal complications. Materials and methods: Observational, analytical study of Cohort type in pregnant women between 18 and 35 years, in labor with cervical dilation of 4 centimeters or more, grouped in two cohorts according to administration or not of epidural analgesia: In pregnant women of Group A, administered bolus epidural analgesia, with maintenance by BEIP with bupivacaine 0.0625% and fentanyl 25 ug in 10cc every 60 minutes; in pregnant women of group B, epidural analgesia was not administered. Objective. To describe schemes and effectiveness of post-operative pain management at the National Maternal Perinatal Institute. Materials and Methods. Descriptive, retrospective cross-sectional study, in which 305 medical histories of patients treated between January and March 2021 were reviewed and analyzed, data such as treatment schedules, pain frequency, analgesic management, rescues, opioid use, and adverse effects were collected. Results. Of 303 medical records included, the most commonly used treatment regimen was intrathecal morphine in combination with an intravenous analgesic (93.1%) which was initiated in the operating room, the most frequent adverse effects were nausea and vomiting (4.3%), pruritus (1.3%), urinary retention (0.3%). Respiratory depression and the presence of severe pain were not reported; but there was a need for analgesic rescue use in 20% of patients in...
