After 36 years of waiting, Peru's qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia unleashed a true soccer fever in the country. This led the Peruvian media to create a wide range of programs and content related to football, addressing match analysis, interviews with players and coaches, as well as coverage of news and events. However, journalistic coverage of women's football did not grow as much as expected, with few mentions in traditional and digital programs until now.
