RESUMEN Objetivo: Comparar la edad cronológica y la edad dental empleando el método de Demirjian en pacientes de 5-15 años que acudieron a un Centro Radiológico Privado en el periodo de 2016-2017 en Armenia, Colombia. Materiales y Métodos: Se evaluaron 407 radiografías panorámicas tomadas entre el año 2016-2017. Se procedió a realizar el cálculo de la edad dental utilizando el método Demirjian tomando las 7 piezas dentales del maxilar inferior lado izquierdo. Posteriormente se realizó el análisis comparativo con la edad cronológica utilizando la prueba T Student y Wilcoxon. Resultados: El método Demirjian demostró ser un buen estimador en el sexo femenino para los grupos etarios de 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 y 15 años, y para el sexo masculino en los grupos de 6 a 14 años. This research explores the reasons behind spoilt voting in the second round of the Peruvian presidential elections of 2021. Seventeen semi-structured interviews were conducted with individuals whose votes were intentionally cast as invalid. The interview delves into the motivations for casting an invalid vote and the associated factors. The findings suggest that respondents cast invalid votes due to political discontent with the supply side during the second-round of the presidential campaign. High perceptions of corruption and political polarization influenced this decision, highlighting decreased political interest. These findings underscore the crisis of legitimacy and political representation in Peru in that context.

This article aims to approach the use of evidence in the formulation of public policies. To this end, we analyze the independent evaluations of the Education sector, particularly the Performance Evaluations and Budget Execution (EDEP – for its acronym in Spanish), which we take as a case study. In order to present the context in which this tool is located, first a brief account of the literature is presented about the use of evidence in public policies and the relationship between knowledge and public policies in Peru. . Secondly, the analysis of five EDEPs of the Education sector is presented in the light of the following axes of analysis: i) the profile of the researchers and the methodology used in the research, and ii) the analysis of the fulfillment of the consigned commitments.
