La investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar el impacto del proyecto “Mejoramiento de la competitividad de la microempresa en las cadenas productivas con jóvenes organizados de la Región San Martín" en la población joven económicamente activa de la región durante el periodo 2008 al 2017. La muestra estuvo conformada por 286 beneficiarios en las edades de 16 y 29 años a nivel de la Región San Martin. En el aspecto metodológico la investigación obedeció a un enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño no experimental, descriptiva comparativa. Los resultados dieron a conocer que el periodo 2010 fue el que presentó el mayor índice, el cual llego a comprender un coeficiente de 36.78%, presentando un descenso de 32.84% a 32.37% entre los periodos 2011- 2012 respectivamente.
