The Nicaraguan Judiciary, a member of the Ibero-American Judicial Summit, ratified the 100 Brasilia Rules through agreement no. 83 of October 6, 2008, which was subsequently amended by agreement no. 48 of July 17, 2015. From the moment of its ratification, it has been gradually implementing internal transformations in the application of both national and international regulations. It has guaranteed access to prompt, free and effective justice through the expansion of competencies established in special laws, as well as in the Family Code, which includes in its structure and content the standards proposed by the 100 Brasilia Rules, and, in its humanistic application with an infantocentric and gender perspective. It achieves the effectiveness of guardianship through the articulation with other disciplines and institutions.
