The production of occlusal splints using the conventional technique based on a monomer and polymer mixing with subsequent curing of the mixture may leave traces of monomer that generate hypersensitivity reactions in allergic people to these chemicals. Hence, the use of CAD-CAM technology can improve the fit and comfort related to the use of the device on the patient. In this article a splint elaboration method is shown based on this technology.

Focal sclerosing osteomyelitis is a rare condition with few therapeutic options other than root canal treatment of the affected tooth. If the tooth is not vital, the treatments are reduced, and there is little scientific evidence of the benefits of the placement of implants in the affected bone. We present a clinical case in which this condition is managed by removing the affected bone, regenerating it with PRGF-Endoret® and subsequently placing a dental implant in the treated area.

Dental implants are an alternative treatment for extended the resolution of cases of edentulism. Since its inception in the year 70 have been a growing alternative to rehabilitate patients, especially in cases where conventional rehabilitations were not possible. Every time, in the dental office were more often we re-treatments of implants and cases with more complex atrophies. In the following case we show a re-treatment of failed implants attached to a situation of extreme atrophy combined vertical and horizontal. In cases of severe maxillary and mandibular atrophy, the use of short implants can shorten treatment times and simplify surgical techniques without sacrificing predictability as in the case shown.

Periodontal disease (PD) is an oral pathology with a high prevalence worldwide. There are different treatments for periodontal disease, with the trend in recent years being towards minimally invasive treatments. In cases where implants cannot be treated predictably in the long term, we should also consider removing the implant using atraumatic methods and retreatment of the case. A point to be taken into account both for the insertion of a dental implant and for its maintenance afterperiimplantitis or for its replacement is the periodontal status of the patient. Periodontal disease can affect the prognosis of our treatment in this type of situation. In the following clinical case, we show the treatment of a patient affected by PD and periimplantitis with a minimally invasive approach.

The rehabilitation of areas of the maxilla and mandible with extreme resorption is a fact of increased presence in our dental practice. Surgical techniques such as short and extra-short implants facilitate the resolution of these clinical cases. In this clinical case report we develop a case rehabilitated using a 5.5 mm long implant and we provide a biomechanical study of the behaviour of implants with these characteristics.
