The chemistry of platinum and palladium is a well studied field and many applications because these metals can form bonds with many organic and inorgánicas molecules. These links are sometimes very reactive, and open countryside to both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis. The square planar complexes with oxidation states (II) dominate the coordination chemistry of Pd and Pt This article reviews recent complexes have been synthesized and structurally characterized in the last ten years.

The novel compound 3-nitro-N-(1, 1, 3-trioxo-1, 3-dihydro-2H-1λ6, 2-benzothiazole-2- carbothioyl)benzamide has been synthesized and is characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance 1H and 13C. The structure of the new compound shows a characteristic signal in the 1H-NMR spectrum of the NH group to fields highly displaced by the presence of a highly deprotected hydrogen at 11.90 ppm, due to the existence of a hydrogen bond between the C = O of saccharin group and the NH group.

This theoretical study at the level PM3, has been to predict the more stable structure of bis (1,5-diphenyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-thionate) lead (II) (Pb(DTT) ), through the application of the 2 Pearson's Principle Maximum Hardness (PMH). 1 Proposed three possible structures which are reported by Angulo et al , to the based on experimental data. Determined that the structure presented greater hardness and thermodynamics stability is when lead atom is coordinated with the sulfur atom and the hydrazine nitrogen, in Ψbipiramide trigonal structure, coinciding this with the experimental data.

The coordination compound saccharinatecopper(I), [Cu2(C7H4SO3N)2]n, was obtained by reduction reaction of copper sulfate with ascorbic acid and addition of sodium saccharinate in aqueous medium. The characterization was performed by elemental analysis, X ray photoelectron spectroscopy, infrared spectrophotometry and cyclic voltammetry.
