This article is a tribute to the most outstanding gure of Andean archeology, the famous San Marcos teacher who revolutionized the academic principles of medieval court, and modernized university education. Tello, the Wise and the Amauta pure indigenous roots, followed in the footsteps and teachings of the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, Guaman Poma de Ayala, Blas Valera and Joan Santa Cruz Pachacuti, for his great intellectual work and his immense scientic legacy is for us a universal Peruvian.
