In this second issue, the Revista ALLPANCHIS PHUTURINQA presents five studies whose general theme is: the Andean supernatural world. The studies that are published are not only of anecdotal interest, due to the exotic nature of the ideas expressed, but also stimulate the study of the Andean religious phenomenon. The studies go without comments or explanations. Some may feel disappointed. However, opportunities for serious reflection in common should not be lacking.

From very early, the workers congregate in the house of the owner of the farm, whom they call chajrachikoq, he who makes the farm work. There, they have lunch at 6 a.m. and they go out to sow, carrying their work tools: Inca plow or chaki tajlla, pickaxe, qorana, yoke with their respective straps, bars and their watos (leather strips to tie the barred); others herd the oxen, or wakamasas, while the women carry chombas de chicha, bottles of alcohol, on typical carts of the region. Arrived at the paddock, they tie up the teams and get the tools ready.

The principle that guides the Andean man's attitude towards Nature, specifically towards the Earth, governs his attitude towards animals: life is everywhere, and along with life, consciousness. If an existential familiarity is outlined between Man and Nature, with greater reason we will find it between man and animal. Therefore, festivals are held in honor of the animals and they are revered.

Shortly after celebrating the forty years of Allpanchis Phuturinqa, it seems convenient and even necessary to take stock of the path traveled, an exercise of awareness similar to the one carried out years ago by Fr. Manuel Marzal S.J., a renowned anthropologist who was entrusted to make a review of Andean research after twenty years of our journal. On that occasion, Marzal already highlighted the need to recover studies on Andean religion "[...] due to a certain fidelity to the founding charism of the bishops of the southern Andean region who wanted to better understand Andean religion and culture in order to better carry out their pastoral work.

Andean time and space are evidently marked by popular Christian devotion. The ritual calendar of the man of the Andes is made up of Christian festivals that give religious meaning to their daily actions linked to agricultural or livestock life. The churches, built in the most remote places, continue to be a separate space dedicated to sacred worship, and the population continues to recognize the most relevant moments of Christian life as highly significant: baptism, first communion, marriage. Undoubtedly, one of the particularities of the Andean man is his sensitivity towards religion: he is frequently longing for hope, expectant of blessing, eager for reconciliation or desirous of the spirit of thanksgiving with processions, pilgrimages or traditional Catholic rituals. Time and space to ask, give thanks, repent, atone for sins, reconcile with the Creator.

Peru began a decentralist reform at the end of 2002. The previous attempt (1989-1992) culminated, unnoticed, with the self-coup promoted by Alberto Fujimori backed by citizen indifference to the future of the regional governments of that time.
