Introduction. During the 2024 dengue outbreak in Piura, the Clinical Surveillance Unit (UVICLIN) was implemented to improve care for patients with warning signs. Methods. A cross-sectional study was conducted at the Santa Rosa Hospital, Piura, Peru, during June and July 2024. A total of 221 patients diagnosed with dengue with warning signs were hospitalized. Their sociodemographic characteristics and presented warning signs were studied. Results. 65,16% were female, with a median age of 20 years. The median hospital stay was 4 days. Most patients had no comorbidities. No deaths were reported, and 99% were discharged without complications. A significant association was found between age and length of hospitalization (rho = 0,29; p < 0,001), with a non-significant trend for comorbidity (p = 0,063). Conclusion.
