Water is a necessary resource for development; its management and conservation are essential to ensure its availability and quality, both for humans and ecosystems. The study was carried out in the Astoria Community in the Punchana district of Iquitos, which relies on natural water sources with mild acidity and low contaminant concentrations. This research began in 2024 and compared physicochemical and microbiological parameters with Peru's environmental quality standard (ECA). The work is based on a quantitative, descriptive, and comparative approach. The physicochemical analyses revealed the following results: the pH was 5.54, indicating mild acidity outside the recommended range for untreated drinking water; turbidity and color were low (0.65 NTU and 2.73 UCV Co-Pt, respectively), meeting the potability limits. Conductivity was 35.87 μS/cm, and total dissolved solids reached 18.85 mg...
