In the present study we recorded two species of lice Anaticola phoenicopteri (Coinde, 1859) and Colpocephalum heterosoma (Piaget, 1880) on the Chilean flamingo (Phoenicopterus chilensis Molina, 1782). Specimens were collected from flamingo broods referred by the Forestry and Environmental Preservation Police (POFOMA) to the Andean Municipal Zoo of the department of Oruro in October 2018, and from an individual found dead in the Tajzara Lagoon of the Reserva Nacional de la Coordillera De Sama of the department of Tarija in October 2022. The lice identified present a highly specialist and co-evolved host relationship and show the richness of ectoparasites in birds in Bolivia.
