Through this work we sought to quantify the economic valuation of the project of the management system for the management of solid urban waste of the population of the city of Sicuani. The scientific method was applied and a set of coherent and successive steps were followed to obtain reliable results, developing the deductive method with a quantitative approach that allowed a global analysis of the research phenomenon to identify its characteristics, from the whole to the parts; and to infer possible solutions; therefore, it was necessary to develop the research design without any manipulation of the variables, at the same time it was correlational. La investigación analiza la relación entre el canon minero y la inversión pública en infraestructura en una municipalidad provincial del Cusco durante 2024, contribuyendo al Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) 9: Industria, innovación e infraestructura. Se planteó como objetivo general determinar en qué medida estos factores se relacionan. El estudio, de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo básico, diseño no experimental y transversal, se desarrolló con una población de servidores públicos municipales, utilizando encuestas estructuradas. Los resultados revelan una correlación positiva moderada (Tau-b de Kendall = 0.482, p < 0.05) entre el canon minero y la inversión pública en infraestructura.
