El plan estratégico del distrito de Santa Rosa de Sacco para el período 2012- 2021, es el resultado de un proceso de consultas y consensos realizados a nivel regional, provincial y distrital, de autoridades gubernamentales, académicas, empresariales y la sociedad civil. Se basó en el modelo secuencial del Proceso Estratégico planteado por D’Alessio (2008), quien consideró un análisis prospectivo en correspondencia con el entorno. Objective. To identify relationship between knowledge and type of attitudes towards COVID-19 in the citizens of the urban area of Huánuco. Methods. Observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study, with a quantitative approach. It was carried out in the city of Huánuco, 2020. Sample comprised 168 citizens. A previously validated knowledge questionnaire and an attitudes scale towards COVID-19 were applied. Pearson's χ² test and Spearman's correlation coefficient (rho) were applied. Results. When analyzing the type of knowledge regarding COVID-19, 62.5% (105) of the sample was located in the category “unknown”. Analyzing the type of attitudes perceived by citizens towards COVID-19, 36.9% (62) had positive attitudes, while 63.1% (106) presented negative attitudes. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a crisis in health systems around the world with a rapid increase in human contagion. As well, a gap is identified in the knowledge of COVID-19 prevention in the community context. Objective: To determine the relationship between the perception of knowledge and the type of attitudes towards COVID-19 among citizens in the urban area of Huánuco, Peru. Methods: An analytical and cross-sectional study using a quantitative approach was conducted in the city of Huánuco between March and May 2020. The sample consisted of 168 people. A perception of knowledge questionnaire and a previously validated COVID-19 attitude scale have been applied. The chi-square test was applied, a p-value less than 0.05 has been taken into account.
