The following essay aims to reflect on the practices of cultural health care in the native peoples. The diversity of values, beliefs, culturally different care practices are identified, in the diversity of environmental contexts, whose common characteristic is that such care is offered at different stages of the life cycle and is provided by close members of the family and the community, sharing all the knowledge that has been transmitted from generation to generation. Respect for the other requires the care offered by the nurse in a respectful, competent and accessible manner with the customs of the original peoples, coming from and practicing cultural diversity.
