The effect of concentrations 445, 667.5 and 1112.5 ppm of Melaleuca alternifolia oil on germination, growth, sporulation, viability and entomopathogenic activity of Beauveria bassiana and Lecanicillium lecanii was evaluated. To determine the germination, 2ml of the oil Melaleuca alternifolia was mixed twice as siding in potato whey and 2 ml of the suspension of the fungi evaluated at the concentration of 15 x 10 x 7 conidias/mL, incubating for 24 hours at 25oC, the reading of the conidia germinated in Neubauer's chamber. For growth, both fungi were sown by puncture in Petri dishes, contained with potato dextrose agar (APD) and Melaleuca alternifolia oil at the above concentrations, inculated at 25oC, measuring its radial growth for 10 days. The effect on sporulation was evaluated by placing 1 cm 2 of the colony at 9 mL of Tween 80 to 0.1%, performing the conidia count in Neubauer's chamb...
