description This article proposes an approach to the rationality-sensitivity of the Shipibo-Konibo indigenous nation, from the Peruvian Amazon, based on the translation of two poemssongs and the methodological approach that guides the process is analyzed, explaining the reasons for the selection. lexical to account for the rational-affective field of the Amerindian poetics of the visual artist, poet and researcher Chonon Bensho. To do this, first the condition of the transition from an indigenous Amazonian oral language to alphabetic writing is discussed. Then, the establishment of the alphabet and the ideological positions that promote it are analyzed. Next, we realize the elements that must be considered in a translation/translation of Shipibo so that the target text expresses the ontologies, epistemologies and aesthetic inclinations of this language. Likewise, it is explained why the appropriate procedure would consist of a poetic translation.
