Se eligió un diseño correlacional y se trabajó con una muestra compuesta por 248 adultos mayores. Para evaluar la preocupación por el COVID-19 y la resiliencia, se utilizaron dos instrumentos: la Escala para medir la Preocupación por el COVID-19 (Caycho-Rodríguez et al., 2021) y la Escala de Adaptación Resiliente Breve (Caycho-Rodríguez et al., 2018). Los resultados obtenidos indican una relación estadísticamente significativa entre la preocupación por el COVID-19 y la resiliencia en estos adultos mayores. Finalmente, se concluyó que esta investigación posibilita la ejecución, en un futuro próximo, de intervenciones diseñadas para capacitar al adulto mayor, permitiéndole reconocer sus propios recursos y afrontar situaciones adversas.

A correlational design was chosen, and the study involved a sample of 248 older adults. To assess concern about COVID-19 and resilience, two instruments were utilized: the Scale for Measuring Concern about COVID-19 (Caycho-Rodriguez et al., 2021) and the Brief Resilient Adaptation Scale (Caycho-Rodriguez et al., 2018). The results obtained indicate a significant relationship between concern about COVID-19 and resilience in these older adults.
