La gastronomía es uno de los motores del crecimiento de la economía peruana debido al turismo que atrae y a la generación de empleos que implica. Hoy en día nuestro país ha llegado a ser conocido internacionalmente como uno de los destinos gastronómicos más importantes del mundo, generando así un boom gastronómico importante. El Rímac es uno de los distritos más tradicionales de Lima y donde se consume y se preparan los platos más típicos de la comida peruana, que llevan a la identidad y la cultura del pueblo. En este se ubica el Mercado Limoncillo y una serie hitos históricos, como una parte del Centro Histórico de la ciudad. Es por esto, que como consecuencia de un concepto de reactivar el turismo gastronómico en el distrito, se propone un mercado con centro gastronómico que se integre al entorno inmediato, mediante sus materiales y una volumetría que se integre a lo existente y a la estructura original del mercado Limoncillo. Esta volumetría generará espacios de encuentro social que formen parte de la trama urbana de la ciudad, mediante la creación de plazas públicas, donde los usuarios se junten con el fin de disfrutar de la gastronomía y encuentros sociales. En conclusión, este es un proyecto que busca dar a conocer al país y al mundo uno de los distritos con más historia y cultura de Lima. Alargando el conocido circuito turístico del centro histórico de lima y llevándolo hacia el Rímac. |

The Rimac, is one of the most traditional districts in Lima. Most of the typical Peruvian dishes, those who represent our identity and culture are prepared and eaten here. The Limoncillo market is located in The Rimac, as well as many other historical monuments and part of Lima's Historical Center. As a consequence of increasing the gastronomic tourism in the district, the proposal consists in a market with a Gastronomic Center that integrates the immediate surroundings, through materials and a volumetric solution that integrates to the existent and the original structure of the Limoncillo Market. This volumetry will provide social meeting spaces that will be part of the urban plot of the city, through the creation of public plazas, where the users will join in order to enjoy gastronomy and social encounters.
