La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la construcción de estereotipos sobre la mujer afroperuana y la discriminación étnico-racial a través de la famosa marca peruana “Negrita”. Con este fin, la pregunta de investigación es: ¿Cómo la marca “Negrita” ha contribuido a la construcción de estereotipos hacia las mujeres afroperuanas y a la discriminación étnico-racial? La metodología empleada será cualitativa bajo un paradigma interpretativo, en la cual la muestra consiste en entrevistas a 5 mujeres afroperuanas que se han visto afectadas por los estereotipos que construyó “Negrita” hacia ellas y a 5 jóvenes fieles consumidores de “Negrita” que consideran que esta marca no construye estereotipos sobre las mujeres afroperuanas. La investigación teórica demuestra que la televisión es una de las principales fuentes que construye y promueve estereotipos negativos sobre la mujer afrodescendiente. Asimismo, hace legítima la discriminación étnico-racial en la sociedad. Por último, con la finalidad de mejorar futuras investigaciones, se recomienda ampliar el estudio con un enfoque psicológico y profundo, donde se analice el verdadero problema detrás de “Negrita” |

To this end, the research question is: How has the brand "Negrita" contributed to the construction of stereotypes towards Afro-Peruvian women and the normalization of ethnic-racial discrimination? The methodology used will be qualitative under an interpretative paradigm, in which the sample consists of interviews to 5 Afro-Peruvian women who have been affected by the stereotypes built by "Negrita" towards them and to 5 young loyal consumers of "Negrita" who consider that this brand does not build stereotypes about Afro-Peruvian women. The theoretical research shows that television is one of the main sources that constructs and promotes negative stereotypes about Afro-descendant women. It also legitimizes ethnic-racial discrimination in society.
