description La presente tesis se enfoca en crear un Centro para el adulto mayor y residencia en San Martín de Porres, con el objetivo de otorgar independencia al usuario para un envejecimiento activo, etapa que empieza a partir de los 60 años de la persona. A pesar, que existan cambios fisiológicos, emocionales y psicológicas, es importante que el adulto mayor tenga un envejecimiento activo, en el cual pueda desarrollar diferentes actividades en distintos ámbitos ya sean sociales, culturales o físicos. La finalidad de este estudio es conocer la problemática, historia de distintos centros a nivel del mundo, normativa nacional y conocer al usuario de forma detallada; dicha información se usará de base para el planteamiento del proyecto. Posteriormente, se popondrá un programa arquitectónico y se analizará el terreno, todo ello dará como respuesta una propuesta de Centro para el adulto mayor y residencia que cuente con una óptima distribución y diseño adecuado de espacios interiores y exteriores. El proyecto beneficiará al usuario a mejorar su calidad de vida no solo en el desarrollo de sus actividades cotidianas con el apoyo de terapias ocupacionales, sino también en el aspecto psicológico y brindándole estabilidad emocional. Teniendo esto en cuenta, se recomienda que las investigaciones futuras tomen en cuenta los lineamientos y considerasiones propuestos en esta investigacion para sirva en mejora de los futuros centros para el adulto mayor.

Despite the existence of physiological, emotional and psychological changes, it is important for the elderly to have active aging, in which they can develop different activities in different areas, whether social, cultural or physical. The purpose of this study is to realize the problems, the history of different centers around the world, national regulations and to understand the user in detail, this information will be used as the basis for the planning of the project. Subsequently, an architectural program will be proposed and the terrain will be analyzed, all this will give as a response of an elderly center and residence with optimal distribution and adequate design of interior and exterior spaces. The project will benefit the user to improve their quality of life not only in the development of their daily activities with the support of occupational therapies, but also in the psychological aspect, providing emotional stability and reducing their depression.
