Consideramos que el hacer matemáticas en la universidad es un medio para generar cuestiones problemáticas cuyas respuestas desencadenarán organizaciones matemáticas, que constituyen la razón de ser del nuevo conocimiento a aprender. Por ello, partimos de una pedagogía no monumentalista, para enseñar la matemática de modo que sea más significativa, útil y con conexiones en el desarrollo profesional del estudiante universitario.In this paper, we present a proposal of Research and Study activity on systems of linear equations, by using mathematical modeling for Health Sciences students. We believe that doing mathematics in the university is a means to generate problematic questions whose answers will trigger mathematical organizations, which constitute the raison d'être of the new knowledge to be learned.
