The results of Fake news represents a threat to societies in the context of the pandemic. The aim of this article is to review existing research on fake news in the last 2 years, discussing the characteristics of infodemics, media/digital literacy and its impact on society, as well as highlighting mechanisms to detect and curb fake news on covid-19 in social networks. Thirty articles were analyzed and selected from 1354 open access articles on this subject.
