description La problemática del desorden y congestionamiento vehicular en la ciudad de Chiclayo, es un problema que al pasar de los años se ha incrementado por el crecimiento de la población en la ciudad, la mala gestión y el mal diseño de la ingeniera de tránsito ha generado que no contemos con la adecuada infraestructura vial en la ciudad, se debe tomar en cuenta los puntos críticos en Chiclayo, es por eso que este trabajo de investigación es de gran importancia, porque busca mejorar el sistema de transitabilidad vehicular en la intersección de las avenidas Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre y Garcilaso de la Vega, con el análisis previo permite identificar la problemática del lugar, realizar un estudio de tránsito con ayuda de los diferentes manuales correspondientes al tema de estudio, así mismo plantear propuestas de solución vial para disminuir y si es posible erradicar la congestión vehicular de la intersección de estudio, con ayuda del programa de simulación SYNCHRO 8.0, veremos el panorama más amplio de la congestión para posteriormente realizar simulaciones con las soluciones planteadas, por último se darán las conclusiones y recomendaciones de todo el proyecto.
