Resultados: La sensibilidad y especificidad del Índice proteína c reactiva/albúmina como predictor de perforación apendicular fue de 82% y 74% respectivamente (p<0.01), el valor predictivo positivo y negativo del Índice proteína c reactiva/albúmina como predictor de perforación apendicular fue de 64% y 88% respectivamente, el área bajo la curva del Índice proteína c reactiva/albúmina para el pronóstico de perforación en apendicitis aguda corresponde a una exactitud pronostica de 82%. No se apreciaron diferencias significativas respecto a las variables edad, sexo, anemia, hiponatremia, hiperazoemia, leucocitosis, diabetes ni hiperlactatemia entre los pacientes con apendicitis perforada o no perforada (p>0.05), Conclusión: el Índice proteína c reactiva/albúmina tiene valor como predictor de perforación apendicular

Material and methods: A retrospective sectional study of diagnostic tests was carried out in which 185 patients with acute appendicitis were included, according to selection criteria which were divided into 2 groups: perforated or non-perforated; calculating sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value. Results: The sensitivity and specificity of the C-reactive protein index. /Albumin as a predictor of appendiceal perforation was 82% and 74% respectively (p<0.01), the positive and negative predictive value of the C-reactive protein/albumin Index as a predictor of appendiceal perforation was 64% and 88% respectively, the area under the curve of the Index c-reactive protein/albumin for the prognosis of perforation in acute appendicitis corresponds to a prognostic accuracy of 82%.
