Participaron 94 adultos mayores que acudieron al Centro de Salud Salaverry durante los meses de mayo a julio del 2015 a quienes se le aplico: El TEST DE CYPAC-AM (Capacidad y Percepción de Autocuidado del Adulto Mayor) y la Escala de Apoyo familiar, encontrándose los siguientes resultados: El autocuidado del adulto mayor atendido en el centro de Salud de Salaverry fue adecuado en un 54.3% e inadecuado en un 45.7% El grado de apoyo familiar del adulto mayor fue alto en un 13.8%, moderado en un 80.9% y bajo en un 5.3%. Los resultados muestran que el autocuidado del adulto mayor se relaciona significativamente con grado de apoyo familiar. Lo que se demuestra con la prueba de Chi cuadrado, con un nivel de significancia en P<0.05.

They participated 94 seniors who attended the Health Center Salaverry during the months of May to July 2015 who answered two instruments: CYPAC test-AM (Capacity and Perception of Self-Care for the Elderly) and the Scale of Family Support, finding the following results: self-care of the elderly treated at the health center of Salaverry was adequate 54.3% and inappropriate 45.7%. The degree of family support of the elderly was higher 13.8%, moderate 80.9% and low 5.3%. Self-care of the elderly was significantly related to the degree of family support.
