Mientras tanto del total de 20 pacientes continuadores, antes de la intervención educativa, el 75% presentaron un nivel de conocimiento regular, 20% deficiente y 5% bueno y después de la intervención educativa el 95% presentaron nivel de conocimiento bueno y 5% regular. En conclusión, se aprecia que del pre al post test hay un cambio significativo; demostrando que la intervención educativa es efectiva para mejorar el conocimiento de la prevención de la mucositis oral en pacientes nuevos y continuadores con quimioterapia.

Quantitative study and quasi-experimental method. The selected sample was 40 patients, the technique used was the survey and the instrument was a questionnaire. The results show that a total of 20 new patients before the educational intervention presented a poor level of knowledge in 60%, 35% regular and 5% good, and after the educational intervention 50% presented a good and regular level of knowledge, respectively. Meanwhile, of the total of 20 continuing patients, before the educational intervention, 75% presented a regular level of knowledge, 20% poor and 5% good, and after the educational intervention 95% presented a good level of knowledge and 5% regular.
