Se proyecta que para 2039, el IMD alcance los 312 vehículos diarios. Además, se identificaron deficiencias significativas en la señalización y en el sistema de drenaje. La investigación enfatiza la importancia de un plan de mantenimiento estructurado que no solo mejore la seguridad y eficiencia del tramo, sino que también prolongue su durabilidad. Estos hallazgos subrayan la necesidad de intervenciones enfocadas en mejorar las prácticas de mantenimiento y la infraestructura existente, asegurando así la funcionalidad a largo plazo de este camino esencial para la conectividad regional
