La investigación incluirá a dos grupos de 30 pacientes mayores de 18 años, admitidos en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del hospital entre agosto y diciembre de 2023, tras la firma del consentimiento informado. Se medirá la vitamina D en niveles deficientes (<20 ng/mL) y suficientes (>20 ng/mL), conforme a los criterios de inclusión. Los datos serán recopilados en una ficha diseñada por el autor, basada en los objetivos del estudio, y se analizarán con el software SPSS 25. Para evaluar la relación entre el déficit de vitamina D y la mortalidad en los primeros 30 días en pacientes con shock séptico, se utilizará la prueba de Chi², considerando un nivel de significancia del 5% (P < 0.05 indicará una diferencia significativa). Además, se calculará el riesgo relativo (RR) con un intervalo de confianza del 95%
