description El presente estudio tuvo como propósito determinar el nivel de conocimiento en internos de estomatología sobre el uso de antibióticos en las infecciones odontogénicas de Trujillo en el año 2016. El estudio fue prospectivo, transversal, descriptivo y observacional. Se realizaron encuestas para 80 internos de estomatología de 04 universidades. Se realizó un estudio piloto para la obtención de la confiabilidad del mismo, cuyo resultado del coeficiente de Spearman Rs = 0.648. De acuerdo a la estadística, los resultados mostraron que el 77.5% de los internos de estomatología presenta un nivel de conocimiento Insuficiente en contraste con el nivel Suficiente (17.5%) y Bueno (5%). Al comparar entre los sexos, podemos determinar que no hay diferencia significativa entre ellas (P= 0.8084). Así mismo, de las 04 Univesidades encuestadas, pudimos constatar que la UAP presenta un 35% de nivel suficiente, en contraste a las demás Universidades.
