Sumario: | This thesis project is called “DESIGN OF A DEVICE FOR MEASURING THE CUTTING FORCE IN THE STAINLESS STEEL TURNING. 304”, was carried out in the absence of sophisticated equipment to measure this force. It was decided to make a device at a lower cost, with which good results were obtained, however, this project may have improvements in the future. The work was carried out on a mechanical lathe, with the support of basic electronics using an Arduino UNO R3 which was connected with an HX711 amplifier and in turn, said amplifier was connected to the strain gauges the same as by means of a cyanoacrylate (adhesive) It was installed in the tool carriage of the mechanical lathe, being able to record the reaction forces in the cutting tool. In addition, an LCD Key pad Shield was installed on the Arduino, which served to visualize the measurement in real time. The strain gauges measure the reaction force that is produced at the beginning and during the machining process. And by increasing the depth, the proposed dynamometer helped us by measuring these forces, with which we obtained a low-cost measurement compared to the measurement that could be performed with a high-end dynamometer. |
