The intervention group received pharmaceutical care notarized and received over traditional pharmaceutical assistance. Then both groups were evaluated and tested for verification of compliance with antibiotic therapy. The results showed significant differences (p= 0,015) in adherence to treatment according to the Morisky-Green-Levine, being higher in the intervention group with 83% adherence and 44% in the control group. The tablet count test also showed significant differences (p = 0,007) in adhesion, 94% for the surgical group and 56% for control. We conclude that pharmaceutical care protocolized has a positive impact more on compliance with antimicrobial therapy traditional care.

El diseño experimental incluyó dos grupos aleatorios, asignando 18 pacientes a cada grupo de estudio, con diagnóstico bacteriológico confirmado de IVU y farmacoterapia antimicrobiana prescrita, captados en una farmacia comunitaria. El grupo de intervención recibió atención farmacéutica y el control recibió atención tradicional. Posteriormente ambos grupos fueron evaluados y sometidos a pruebas de verificación del cumplimiento de la terapia antimicrobiana. Los resultados mostraron diferencias significativas (p=0,015) en el cumplimiento del tratamiento según el test de Morisky-Green-Levine, siendo mayor en el grupo intervenido con un 83 % de cumplimiento y 44 % en el grupo control. La prueba de recuento de comprimidos también mostró diferencias significativas (p=0,007) en el cumplimiento, 94% para el grupo intervenido y 56 % para el control.
