Material y métodos: Estudio de pruebas diagnósticas, retrospectivo, observacional, en 70 pacientes en quienes se calculó la sensibilidad, especificidad, valor predictivo positivo y negativo de la ecografía FAST en el diagnóstico de trauma abdominal cerrado con hemoperitoneo. Se aplicó el test de chi cuadrado. La prueba de oro diagnostica fue la laparotomía exploratoria y la evolución clínica. Resultados:La sensibilidad, la especificidad, el valor predictivo positivo el valor predictivo negativo de la ecografía FAST en el diagnóstico de trauma abdominal cerrado con hemoperitoneo fueron de 90%, 89%, 98% y 58% respectivamente.
