Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this investigation was to design a preventive maintenance program for the medical oxygen plants of Hospital II-2 Tarapoto, in order to reduce incidents of failures that generate shortages of medicinal oxygen. The plants are of PSA technology, the first of the UltraControlo brand, with a capacity of 2x12.2 m3/h and 94% ± 1% purity; the second brand Novair, capacity 2x13 m3/h and 99% ± 1% purity and; the third brand UltraControlo, with a capacity of 2x24.4 m3/h and 94% ± 1% purity. For this, information was collected on these floors, through observation, the filing of equipment manuals and Dossiers of the Hospital plants and, the interview with the collaborators and supervisors of the Hospital Engineering, department. As a result, 133 incidences of mechanical failure were found, which represents 83.125% of the total, to reduce it, a preventive maintenance plan was designed based on the hours of operation for the compressed air scroll compressors, refrigerant dryers and the air compressor. fill. 5 incidents of human failures were found, representing 3.125%. For this, operational and safety guides were generated in the facilities, control report formats for the supervision of the operation of said plants. Finally, it was obtained that implementing this preventive maintenance design is economically profitable since corrective maintenance costs are higher than preventive ones. Therefore, it is concluded that the design of the preventive maintenance plan for medicinal oxygen plants added to the procedural guides and control formats will reduce the incidences of failure that generate shortages of medicinal oxygen
