The objective of this research is to determine the influence of low birth weight in the application of antibacterial agents by neonatal intensive care unit to the mixer, Intravenous National Hospital Edgardo Rebagliati Martins in Lima, in 2009. This research is a descriptive, comparative, retrospective cross-sectional for which, we analyzed the records containing the prescriptions of patients hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit of HNERM, in the period January to December 2009 of these are 680 patients who met the inclusion criteria, which were submitted to evaluation by the literature method - analytical, finding the end.
