The statistic study of the results was realized through the logistic regression to know which are the risks factors of stomach cancer of the patients in gastroenterologia of the Belen Hospital of Trujillo. The results indicate that the factors that significantly influence the presence of gastric cancer are Helicobacter pylori infection (OR = 80.57, p = 0.00), snuff consumption (OR = 11.234, p = 0.04), alcohol consumption (OR = 9.657 , p = 0.005), family history (OR = 5.036, p = 0.046). The final result of this work shows the percentage forecast has been classified correctly in 91.2%

El análisis estadístico de los resultados se realizó aplicando un modelo de regresión logística para conocer cuáles son los factores de riesgo de cáncer gástrico de los pacientes del servicio de gastroenterología del Hospital Belén de Trujillo. Los resultados indican que los factores que influyen significativamente en la presencia del cáncer gástrico son infección por Helycobacter pylori (OR = 80.57, p= 0.00), consumo de tabaco (OR= 11.234, p=0.04), consumo de alcohol (OR = 9.657, p= 0.05), antecedentes familiares (OR= 5.036, p=0.046).
