It was collected 3 specimens that were obtained of the catches of fishing in Huanchaco (Trujillo - Perú) and techniques were used for dismantling of fish in fresh for adult specimens. This species, from the point of view of the morphology of bone, is characterized by having in the neurocráneo two bumps and the spine consists of twenty seven vertebrae and presents bony bumps in the caudal vertebrae._x000D_ Keywords: Fish, Neurocranium, Osteology, Caudal vertebrae. |

Es una herramienta valiosa para la taxonomía, que ha permitido la definición de grandes grupos de vertebrados así como la descripción, identificación y comparación a nivel de familias en peces. El objetivo del presente trabajo es la identificación y descripción de cada una de las estructuras óseas que conforman el esqueleto de Paralonchurus peruanus “suco”. Se recolectaron 3 ejemplares que fueron obtenidos de las capturas de faenas de pesca en Huanchaco (Trujillo – Perú) y se utilizaron técnicas de desarticulación de peces en fresco para ejemplares adultos.
