Los materiales empleados fueron una ficha sociodemográfica y el Test de Funcionamiento Familiar de Isabel Louro. Los principales resultados muestran que el nivel de funcionamiento familiar es moderadamente funcional en un 51,2%, mientras que el 27,1% es disfuncional, el 18,7% es funcional y solo un 3% es severamente disfuncional. Así mismo, el análisis del cruce entre estructura y funcionalidad familiar se puede apreciar que del 6,9% que vive con su madre y familia extensa, tiene una familia moderadamente funcional y el 5,9% de los estudiantes que viven con ambos padres son parte de una familia moderadamente funcional.

This study is of a non-experimental type, and a cross-sectional descriptive design. The participants were 203 adolescents with an age range between 13 to 15 years, of both sexes. The materials used were a sociodemographic record and the Isabel Louro Family Functioning Test. The main results show that the level of family functioning is moderately functional in 51.2%, while 27.1% is dysfunctional, 18.7% is functional and only 3% is severely dysfunctional.
