Conocimiento sobre tamizaje neonatal en madres de alojamiento conjunto del Hospital Regional de Ica 2022

Identificar el nivel de conocimiento sobre tamizaje neonatal en las madres de alojamiento conjunto del Hospital Regional de Ica 2022. El presente estudio adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo de nivel descriptivo, de corte-transversal de diseño no experimental. La población objetiva consistió de 1356 madres, de las cuales se seleccionó una muestra 300 madres alojadas en el servicio de alojamiento conjunto del Hospital Regional de Ica, para la recolección de datos, se utilizó como técnica la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario, que permitió categorizar la información obtenida en tres niveles: alto, medio y bajo. Se realizó un análisis descriptivo de frecuencias y porcentajes mediante la estadística. Se determinó que el 49.7 % de las madres presenta un medio nivel de conocimiento sobre el tamizaje neonatal, que el 65.3 % de las madres presenta un bajo nivel de conocimiento según aspectos generales de la prueba y que el 61% de las madres presenta un bajo nivel de conocimiento según procedimiento de la prueba. Además, se evaluó la asociación entre el nivel instructivo de las madres y el nivel de conocimiento sobre el tamizaje neonatal utilizando la prueba de chi-cuadrado, encontrándose una asociación significativa con un valor de p= 0,0006. Los hallazgos de este estudio revelan que la mayoría de las madres poseen un bajo nivel de conocimiento sobre el tamizaje neonatal, tanto en aspectos generales como en el procedimiento de la prueba, asimismo, se identificó una asociación significativa entre el nivel instructivo de las madres y su conocimiento sobre el tamizaje neonatal. ----- To identify the level of knowledge of neonatal screening among mothers in the Ica Regional Hospital 2022. The present study adopted a quantitative, descriptive, crosssectional, non-experimental design approach. The target population consisted of 1356 mothers, from which a sample of 300 mothers accommodated in the joint accommodation service of the Regional Hospital of Ica was selected. For data collection, the survey technique was used and the questionnaire was used as an instrument, which allowed the information obtained to be categorised into three levels: high, medium and low. A descriptive analysis of frequencies and percentages was carried out using statistics. It was determined that 49.7% of the mothers had a medium level of knowledge about neonatal screening, 65.3% of the mothers had a low level of knowledge according to general aspects of the test and 61% of the mothers had a low level of knowledge according to the test procedure. In addition, the association between the mothers' level of instruction and the level of knowledge about neonatal screening was evaluated using the chisquare test, and a significant association was found with a value of p= 0.0006. The findings of this study reveal that most of the mothers have a low level of knowledge about newborn screening, both in general aspects and in the test procedure, and a significant association was identified between the mothers' level of education and their knowledge about newborn screening.
