Access to the labor market is becoming more and more competitive for young people who are studying technical careers, a situation that generates job expectations. In the same way, professional development is linked to the use and level of importance with which financial products are valued, both essential issues for the development of individuals in every society, likewise there is no evidence of studies at the local level that address the issue, for which an investigation is proposed with the objective of analyzing the labor expectation and the use of financial products in the Institute of Higher Education, developing a quantitative, descriptive study and non-experimental cross-sectional design, with the participation of 177 students from the Joaquín Reátegui Medina - Nauta Public Higher Technological Institute, identifying that there are high positive indicators on job expectations in relation to development, motivation and work environment and negative in relation to to the remuneration of the labor market, likewise the use of financial products is low and the level of importance given to them is high, concluding that the job expectation and the use of financial products in students present significant characteristics in relation to remuneration, personal development, climate and work motivation, use and importance of financial products.
